WALKING THE WORLD

Charity Challenge

AIM: To raise funds for the Cyprus Anti-cancer Society to build a day-care centre for cancer patients

Secondary aims:

  • To promote an active lifestyle.

  • To highlight the dangers of global warming.

Some 100 pupils and staff of Foley's School will wear pedometers for a period of eight weeks and record the distance covered. We hope to walk the equivalent of the circumference of the Earth. Volunteers will need to average about 17,000 steps a day!
