Sports Marathon

A 12 hour sports marathon was organised in order to raise money for a cancer patient day care centre in Limassol. The event was in memory of Jane Greenaway and Riad Al Abed who both passed away during the summer holidays. So far the event has raised in excess of £10000. Well done to everyone who took part. Sports Day

Yet again, another successful Sports Day at Tsirion Stadium. The weeks of intensive training certainly paid off as many pupils beat their own personal bests and 7 school records were broken - including one which has stood since 1984! Check out the Gallery!

Foley's annual Charity Fair was once again a success.

Walking the World - The Final Countdown!

The participants in the Walking the World Charity Challenge will complete the circumnavigation of the globe between 9am and 10am on Limassol Promenade (Molos). Starting at the pier end of the promenade walkers will walk two or three laps depending on the numbers that turn up. Pupils wishing to take part need a signed permission slip from their parents.

 

Total raised: £2,525

F4 start their End of Year exams.

Walking the World Charity Challenge starts. Around 80 pupils and members of staff have donned pedometers to try to walk the same distance as the circumference of the World - 40000km. Each walker will have to log just under a million steps. The main aim is to raise money for the Cyprus Anticancer Society towards the building of a day-care centre for cancer patients. Secondary aims are to promote a healthy lifestyle and to highlight the problems of global warming.

Both teams of public speakers did very well at the event but unfortunately failed to place in the top two.
